Though a
rainbow graces one end of our runway, it is a far cry from conditions
here. That shot was taken a couple of
months ago. It’s dry season here and the
grass is brown, not green. Dust and
smoke fills the air. However, a small
cold front dropped a bit of rain last night for which we are grateful. Not enough, but some. And you know that saying, “Every little bit
helps.”
Praise Report
The renewal of our permanent residency cards went smoothly. The paperwork was
minimal and the photos were easily gained from
the mall. And best of all….it was less
expensive than we thought it was going to be.
The machine that makes the cards was busted but we were issued temporary “cards” until
the cards come back from Tegucigalpa. At least they'll be good for 5 years.
We just have to pick them up when they come in. Thanks be to Him that prepared the way.
Annual Appreciation Dinner
Our annual Hospital Worker (and
Family) Appreciation Dinner was held Sunday, April 6. It was attended by 20 not including
ourselves. There was much laughter,
fellowship and food. A Good Time Was Had
By All.
School Supplies Delivered
It was our pleasure to make
up 25 bags holding needed school supplies for the students. We also made up a gift bag for the new
teacher with supplies she can use to help teach like flashcards, pens, glue,
rulers, etc. The children were delighted
to receive their gifts. The school has
been closed for a couple of years and many prayers have been raised to have a
teacher come. We are so happy the
children will get an education that will help them have the opportunity for a
brighter future.
Prayer Request
There are several
trips in the making for the rest of this year.
We would appreciate your prayers as these trips come together for both the
folks coming and the funds to make it happen for traveling and the projects. Thank you for your faithfulness in your
prayers and gifts of love.
We pray that your Easter
holiday is filled with His best blessings as we all remember His loving
sacrifice and resurrection.
Joyfully In His Service,
Westley and Denise Wiles
